Imagine being locked-in to paying every month for something you don’t need, or don’t use, simply to avoid a huge financial penalty. That makes no sense…except when you’re dealing with incumbent local telecom companies who dominate the market. Then, unreasonable lock-up contracts are the rule, and incumbents just keep squeezing their customers and pocketing the monopoly profits. After all, wearable technology for business is a logical extension of the Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) movement, and one thing I’m willing to bet on is that, if it takes off, it takes off quickly.

Unified Communications: Let’s Get On the Same Page

Are you currently deploying a unified communications strategy to power your business? Unified communications (UC) is used by nearly 50 percent of businesses, but a 2014 survey showed that many IT professionals are not familiar with the term.

Is the NFL Ready for Some…Wi-Fi?!

It’s the end of October. That means the NFL season is in full swing. Usually, that means fans talking about their fantasy teams, making predictions, and trash talking about which team is going to make it to the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, this year the conversations are different.

Right now, the spotlight isn’t on Peyton Manning and my Broncos, or whether Seattle can repeat as Super Bowl champs. Instead, the topics of discussion include what players are doing off the field and the inefficiencies of league leadership.
