• Hide Your Email Server Behind Our Perimeter Email Protection (PEP): By routing email through PEP servers first, you can hide your email server behind our perimeter and protect your email infrastructure so that spammers cannot directly spam your server. No MX records will appear in public DNS lookups for your mail server. And, unlike premise-based solutions, PEP stops dangerous spam and viruses from getting behind your firewall and infecting your network.
• User Validation: PEP lets you upload your list of valid user email addresses. User Validation then filters and reduces the amount of email your server must process by at least 50%.
• Block Spam and Junk Email: XO updates junk and virus filters automatically to deal with the latest threats. The filters are located on our servers so there is no software to purchase, download, or update on your email server or individual users' workstations. Administrators can configure account-wide or user-specific settings for handling mail when junk or viruses are detected. Junk mail can be quarantined and periodically checked by users via a web interface, or tagged with a modified subject line and delivered to the mail server for rules processing.
