XO Communication SIP Solution Now Rated “Avaya Compliant”

HERNDON, VA – September 28, 2009 – XO Communications today announced that its XO SIP service is compliant with AuraTM Communication Manager and Avaya AuraTM SIP Enablement Services from Avaya, a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services. XO SIP is a fully integrated solution designed to support the needs of businesses with the most demanding voice and data applications at single or multiple locations. XO SIP uses Session Initiation Protocol signaling and a native IP-based facility to manage all traffic between a customer’s IP-PBX system, the XO IP network, and the Public Switched Telephone Network. The service provides greater efficiencies by eliminating the need for businesses to maintain multiple access facilities for voice and data services and eliminating the need for bandwidth-consuming protocol conversions.
XO SIP includes a broad range of bandwidth options to maintain optimal network performance and has the following features:

XO SIP now is compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya Aura Communication Manager 5.2 and Avaya Aura SIP Enablement Services 5.2. In addition, XO Communications had previously completed interoperability testing with XO SIP and Avaya Communication Manager 5.1 and SIP Enablement Services (SES) 5.1 and Avaya IP Office 4.2.4.
