XO Communications Awarded 2009 Employer of Choice by the Minority Corporate Council Association
HERNDON, VA – June 17, 2009 – XO Communications (OTCBB: XOHO) today announced that it is the Minority Corporate Council Association’s (MCCA) 2009 Employer of Choice. The MCCA, a Washington, D.C.-based organization dedicated to the increased hiring, promotion and retention of minority legal professionals, recognized XO’s legal department for its commitment to an inclusive workplace and ongoing emphasis on diversity.
The MCCA’s Employer of Choice award honors industry leaders who successfully maintain a diverse legal department. The nominees are determined by a four-person selection committee who review and analyze each company’s retention rates, hiring and promotion procedures, as well as other background about their legal departments.
