Concentric and Register.com Renew Exclusive Co-marketing Agreement Through 2001
Leading Web Hosting Provider and Leading Domain Name Registrar Extend Existing Strategic Marketing Relationship with Added Domain Products
SAN JOSE, CA and NEW YORK, NY - Concentric, a Nextlink Communications Company (Nasdaq: NXLK) and Register.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: RCOM) today announced they have extended their strategic alliance to provide businesses with complete and easy solutions for registering and building customized Web sites through December 2001. According to the terms of renewal, register.com will provide Concentric customers with domain registration capability for generic .com, .net and .org extensions, as well as country code top level domains, such as .co.uk and .fm. Concentric will also continue to be the preferred hosting client on the register.com Web site.

Since July 1999, Concentric and register.com have teamed up to provide a one-stop e-commerce shop for small businesses looking build a branded presence on the Internet. According to the terms of today’s agreement, register.com will continue to power back-end domain name search registration services through its Third Party Protocol application (TPP), allowing Concentric to offer domain registration to its hosting customers directly from the Concentric Web site. Register.com will also continue to feature Concentric as one of its recommended Web hosting providers, allowing registrants to begin using their domain name immediately. As an added service, register.com will now power domain search and registration capability for 27 additional country code domain extensions, including .co.uk, .ws, co.il, .fm among others.
