A Look at the New XO
Fall is upon us. The kids are back in school, the leaves are changing, and weather across the country is as unpredictable as ever. With change in the air, I'd like to make you aware of some exciting things taking place at XO.
For the last seven years, XO Communications has approached the market via two independent business units: Business Services, serving the enterprise market; and Carrier Services, serving the wholesale market. For these seven years, I've had the pleasure of serving as President of the Carrier Services unit. With your support we've been able to expand our network, markets, and products. We've been able to invest in improving the overall customer experience, adding ease and predictability to your interactions with XO. And equally important, we've been able to grow revenue.
Though this structure has served us well, we find it's time for a change. To better meet the demands of the ever-evolving communications marketplace, we will integrate the two business units. This integration will enable XO to improve the customer experience, increase profitability, enhance cross-functional collaboration, and strengthen competitiveness in the midst of continued industry consolidation. In the new XO, I will serve as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, responsible for meeting your needs across the full marketplace.
Within the Sales & Marketing organization, XO Carrier Services will continue to function as an independent sales channel. David Allen will lead the new Carrier Services team. David is an accomplished executive and a familiar name to many of you as he currently serves as vice president of Carrier Services for the Western Region. Another accomplished and familiar executive, Marc Dyman, has been serving as our vice president of Carrier Services for the Eastern Region. Marc is sharing his expertise with the enterprise market and will now serve as vice president of Business Services for the Northeast Region.
Rest assured, during this transition we will continue to provide the same high quality products and services on which XO has built its reputation. Building on this new organizational structure, we believe the company is now poised for an even greater future.
Thank you for remaining a loyal customer of XO Communications. We look forward to continuing this relationship as we continue to improve our business and add new, innovative products and services to better serve our customers.
On behalf of David Allen, Marc Dyman, and the entire XO Carrier Services team, thank you for your business. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you.
